The Palazzo Ravizza Hotel is placed in a historical building from the Siena town, atb just few steps from the ancien wall. It was originally the Residence of the Ravizzas Family. In the twenties, it was transformed into a friendly pension by the heiress Elena and Giuditta Grottanelli de Santi. Nowadays it is still managedc by the Grottanellis. The Palazzo Ravizza has preserved the home's warmth and the ambiance of other centuries where the peace and the silence reign, allowing the guests to take a break and enjoy the reading rooms, the views and the garden. Along the years, famous personalities from the fields of music, paintings, and letters or arts collectors had spent the night here. Among these famous, we mention names like Hellon Frick, Bernard Bergson, L. Douglas, Lady Beckeley, Aldous Huxley, A. Segovia, A. Sakharoff etc.

The rooms of Palazzo Ravizza reflect the character and style of an old time mansion: all different in size and furnishings they maintain the original setting of the 1920’s home with the necessary renovations for modern accomodation. The rooms facing the garden on the rear side of the Palazzo have made this Siena hotel particularly renowed among anglosaxons and those romantics who have a predilection for the room with a view style hotels. Instead, the rooms on the front of the hotel, are larger and often more elegant, particularly after the recent restoration of the 19th century wall and ceiling decorations. Finally, the suites and junior are the rooms once reserved to the family and to Mrs Helen Frick, friend of the owners and frequent guest at the Palazzo.
