Great hotel, if you don't mind a little trek into the main tourist areas. It's about a 20-30 minute walk (not unpleasant, quite safe, though it is a city), or you can take bus routes. The hotel itself was very clean and tidy, our room was excellent and even had a nice little view (including the Duomo). The bathroom was somewhat small, like most European hotels, but the towels were plush and comfortable, and everything you needed was there. Definitely a recommendation, if you are okay with the location (being out of the way can be nice, too).

Although the breakfast would suit many I prefer a cooked breakfast, but then I suppose it is a typical Italian style.

Nice, clean rooms with TV and a fridge. 10 minutes walk from the historical center. The hotel receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who would love to combine good services offered with very few money.

Very nice little hotel in a quiet area of Firenze.
Lovely little garden in the backyard.
Very friendly and helpfull staff, who made one feel very welcome.
Only one complaint: the elevator was quite noisy; one could hear it clearly even in the room.
But since the hotel only has a small number of rooms, the elevator wasn't in use very much, so only a minor complaint here.
Very recommendable hotel.

The web sites we saw claimed this was a "very good 2 star hotel". While this may be true by hotel industry standards, the staff at the Orcagna were a 5 star staff.

Breakfast could offer some more variety.
The service from the staff was fantastic. Very professional & helpful. The walk to the city center was about 20 minutes. Good value for the money.

We were very pleased with the hotel. The room was large and comfortable, kept very clean by the staff who changed the linen every day. Access to the centre of the city takes less than ten minutes by frequent bus service, and only 20 minutes to walk. We mostly walked. The staff were very friendly, good humoured and most helpful. The only suggestion we would make would be a kettle in the room.

Hotel Orcagna was much better than we expected! We got a beautiful big room with a balcony and spacious bathroom with a bathtub. All this hosted by very friendly people.
It was an unforgetable experience which we can recommend to everybody.
