Bathroom was tiny and the basin was much too large and shallow so very awkward to manoeuvre around the toilet. Very poorly designed so best use not made of space available. The shower was good. If you are young, small and physically flexible, I would recommend hotel. Bedroom was small but average for Paris. Bed was comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Good value for money. The hotel is in a beautiful area of Paris.

I'd wanted a Le Marais walk-to location, and this was a good one. The terry bathrobe was very welcoming. The bath fixtures, etc. were very user-friendly vs. the ultra-modern ones in my London hotel which were confusing to use. I couldn't tell from photos that the hotel is right on the street and has no courtyard/outside space, but that is fine with so many nice parks, Place Vosges, Ste. Catherine Place, etc. nearby. Couldn't tell that the hotel has compact parts ahead, but that is fine; space is used efficiently. Wish I'd known the first day about the internet place on rue Sicilie nearby, but learned of it mid-week from desk staff; I didn't bring my laptop, and internet cafes are scarce in Paris. I didn't know how to turn on the towel warming rack in the bathroom, and no one told me how, but I didn't really need it.

Recommend that you leave two bars of soap each day - one for shower stall and one for hand basin - at present you just leave one. We only received SMALL towels when we arrived, however, on the second day we received LARGER TOWELS.. important that THE LARGER 'BATH' TOWELS are put in rooms.. not just small ones. We enjoyed our stay at your hotel very much and we intend to return. The front desk staff were very helpful and the location was perfect - close to everything.

Rooms are basic and very small. The bed was two twins pushed together so not that comfortable. There is a mini bar. The lift was not working for our stay, but they reduced the price by 30Euros per night and so that was fine. The staff were friendly and the location was perfect, just off the Rue de Rivoli. Overall a good basic hotel for a weekend away.

Impossible to sleep well in those small beds more suitables for childre than for adults

Everything was very good. Internet access is slow, no WIFI and uncomfortable bed. Otherwise, we would recommend your hotel.
Thank you.
We love room 601!

Room was small, but that's the way it is in Paris, but extremely comfortable beds, comforter, pillows. Air conditioning was adequate, and room darkening blinds what else can anyone ask for, it was a very nice place and also had a door which opens up to the street with a veranda so you can enjoy the view. Also, can hear the street once you close the door. The sound proof in the room was great, the location was great near many shops and Metro. I would definately stay there again.

"Small but perfectly formed"! Delightful, spotlessly clean and comfortable little hotel with pleasant, welcoming staff.Great position with easy access to Metro, interesting boutiques and restaurants. We found this hotel, during our last stay in Paris when walking back to our other (not so pleasant!)hotel, and noted its name for our next visit-we were not disappointed. Will stay there next time and have recommended it to friends and family.

The only thing really poor in this hotel is the size of the room....too small !!!! But if you are in Paris for just 3 days....you can face it.The employees were very nice and helpful; the room was very clean ; and the hotel location is excellent. I would come back again, and recomend it for others.

The room was really too small. No place to put your suitcases to unpack. The noise levels were also very disturbing in the early mornings. The other thing that the hotel can definitely do something about, is the strong chemicals they use on the carpet that gave me an instant headache.
Otherwise, the room was clean and neat, the location brilliant and the staff helpful and friendly at all times. But I'm sure if you search a bit more, you can get better for this kind of money. Make sure to check how big the room is.

My daughter and I shared a double/twin bed room facing the street. The room was very small with essentially no storage place except for a TINY closet. But aside from having to live from our suitcases, we were quite happy with this hotel. Our room and (small but efficient) bathroom were very clean and our beds, which sat right next to one another, were extremely comfortable. We had a nice street view and good air-conditioning which saved us at night during the heat spell Paris was experiencing during our 10 day stay. There is a small elevator; not all small hotels have one. There is a breakfast room but we did not have breakfast there because it was a little pricey and we prefered to go out instead. The several young people who manned the front dest were all lovely and helpful, speaking various levels of English. They were able to arrange a tour for us, a taxi to the airport, and answer many of our questions which were asked with limited French. Most wonderful about Le Turenne le Marais is its location. The Marais district is great for eating, shopping, transportation, and atmosphere and this hotel is in the heart of the neighborhood. We would happily return to this hotel, though perhaps with smaller suitcases!

The rooms are so small! Room pictures deceive!

Rooms need climate control. Bathrooms are really small. No real drawer space for clothes. Breakfast should be included with the cost of the room.

Will definitely be back and have recommended to others

This is my second stay at the Hotel Turenne Le Marais. I found the hotel by chance in June of 2008. When I went back to Paris for Christmas 2008, I scheduled my arrival date around room availability at the Hotel Turenne. The location is ideal. The metro is 3 blocks away, there are wonderful cafes nearby, and it is an easy walk to Notre Dame and the center of Paris. The front desk people are wonderful. Very friendly and helpful, and pleasant to see every morning and evening. The rooms are small, but this is Paris and all hotel rooms are small. More important, the rooms are clean. There is an extra charge for internet use. I hope this changes as Paris becomes more wifi friendly. This hotel is a gem!

This is a very likeable hotel which I have chosen more than once. I'll certainly return to it again. I have used it both as a business traveller and with my family (incl. children). The location is ideal in a low scale intimate part of Paris (Marais) with a good selection of architecture, culture, restaurants, cafés and shops. And with the essential Metro line 1 within minutes of walk you can easily reach other parts of Paris.

Barely any storage space for clothes and the room was too small we had to leave our suitcases on the floor.
Room cleanliness was good but the communal areas were not as clean.
Staff are very helpful
