There was no hot water on 3 of our 4 mornings which staff said was due to faulty hot water system. We later learned that they had been waiting for parts for 2 months. Really not acceptable. We asked the hotel to give us some compensation but they could only offer us free breakfast which we do not eat in this hotel, preferring to go somewhere with better ambience and waitress service.
Very unhappy about the whole experience and though we have been returning to this hotel every year for many years, are unlikely to stay here again.

The staff went to great lengths to help us retrieve items left in our room. Without their prompt attention, I would have arrived in Seattle without my business laptop.

This is an excellent hotel, but the real stars of the show are the staff, who could not be more helpful. I strongly recommend this hotel!

We did not get any information about the location, metro, things to do in Paris... from the man at the reception.
We came to Paris because of my partner's birthday. He became 50 while we where there.
It was very disappointing. The pictures on the net are verry deceiving.
The rooms in Paris are small, but this beats all. You can hardly move in room 405. A real disappointment.

Everything about the hotel is smaller than the photos suggest. However, we did have a king sized bed in our tiny room, and the bed was very comfortable. The location is excellent--Place des Vosges, the Seine, Bastille, Ile de la Cite were all easy walks from our hotel. Our room was also quiet. And the folks at the desk were fantastic--helpful, welcoming, informative, friendly. Perhaps because of the intimacy of the small lobby we interacted quite a lot with the desk clerks and all seemed very friendly. We were with another couple and each evening we had a mini cocktail hour in the lobby, which we enjoyed quite a lot. When we ran out of rose we could get to the wine shop around the corner and back in about five minutes. We stayed six days. Except for one night when there seemed to be an event with music going on nearby, we slept well. The bathroom was small but perfectly well appointed.

We were in Room #2. Every time we opened the bathroom door it bumped into the desk/chair. You could move the desk and chair to the left and the television to the right and have more room.

The hotel is close to Bastille Monument and 15 minutes from Notre Dame Cathedral and Saint Chapell walking from the hotel. Easy access to the Metro and buses.

Excellent choice for a small, quiet, economical, friendly hotel in the centre of Paris. Surrounding streets are full of good-quality cafes, restaurants and chocolatieres. Excellent & unusual house wine ! Only gripe was the cramped L-shaped room.

This is modest hotel in a very convenient place for me. Room had a double bed but was let as a single. Would have been uncomfortably small for two people.

My daughter and I stayed there in 2005 when on a Rick Steves tour. We loved you then and when we were planing to spend a few days in Paris you were our first choice. We didn't use your housekeeping services because we had so many bags from traveling and were only going to be there for a few days. Every day the house keeping staff wanted to get into the room and we thanked them. The gentlemen at the front desk were also very helpful. I needed a shuttle booked for the airport and spoke to a gentleman in the morning on my way to a boulangerie about the shuttle and when I returned about 10 minutes later it was booked. Great service and a home like feeling...Thank you so much.

The website pictures were true to the accommodations. Very nice for the price and it was a wonderful treat for me and my spouse.
