The Camino de Santiago (St. James Way) pilgrimage route passes right by the front door of this imposing former monastery located in the Galician town of Sarria, just 200 m from the town hall and a five-minute walk from the historic centre. The shared dormitories at the property have bunk beds and include access to a shared bathroom. Guests use their own sleeping bags and sheets are provided. There is a common room with a TV and vending machines serving snacks and drinks, and a kitchen equipped with electric hobs, a microwave and kitchen utensils. Wired internet is available in the lobby for a supplementary charge. The town of Sarria boasts a rich artistic heritage characterised primarily by churches, including the 13th-century early-Gothic ‘O Salvador' place of worship. There are also a host of bars and restaurants serving the famed Galician cuisine.
